I LOVE this card! Love love love the colours. I have vague memories of saying that about another card but I'm sure it was true for that card as much as it is true for this one! The fun red, yellow, green, and orange scream summer to me. What about you?

Anywho, hope you like it as much as I do! Have a great day!

Accessories: Scallop Border Punch, Scallop Trim Border Punch, Dimensionals®, Celery Wide Grosgrain, Oval Bigz Die, AquaPainter™

I'm running out of words for all these display stamper samplers and I've only shared there so far! hmmm ... okay, well, this set is called Easy Events and it kind of replaces the set from the last catalogue called "Fun and Fast Notes". Again, like all sets that have words on them, I cut the words off and place them on the sides of the blocks :)

anywho, gotta run :) hope you're having a great summer!

Inkspirations Challenge #80

Stamps: Fabulous Florets, Nature Walk, Word Play
Paper: Whisper White
Ink: Peach Parfait, Pear Pizzazz, Concord Crush, Stazon™
Accessories: Dimensionals®

Wow, interesting colours again! I always find it fascinating how so many people can come up with SO many different ways to use a colour combination. I honestly can't wait to see all the creations this week as I found this to be difficult. Throw in purple and call me a dunce though ... hee hee!!

Did you see how small my supply list is this go around? Tiny compared to normal!!! LOL!!! Normally, I've got TONS of accessories listed but this time there is only one - dimensionals. I should say that there was another - my scor pal. I added all those score lines around with the scor pal - you could use a cutter with a scoring blade too.

Anywho, hope you like my simple (ish) card! Please check out the challenge on the Inkspirations blog and see what the team came up with this week! Have a fab day :)

Create with Connie & Mary - 160

I LOVE this card! Love love love the yellow and black together. So bright and summery! This sketch was uber fun too, you should totally check it out on the Create with Connie and Mary blog.

I had fun playing with LOTS of different papers for this one. You can see that there are three different packs of DSP on the one card (the paper stacks are absolutely FABULOUS). Love the layered punches that I did on the bottom too :)

Please check out the challenge on the Create with Connie and Mary blog. Hope you like what I've shared with you today! Have a great day :)

Lynn nominated me with this cute award! This one is the "Stinkin' Cute Blog Award". Her blog is fabulous too so you'll have to check her out :) Thanks so much, Lynn!

Ink: Calypso Coral, Peach Parfait, Island Indigo, Early Espresso
Accessories: Vanilla Seam Binding, Basic Rhinestones, Dimensionals®, Lots of Tags Sizzlits

Good morning! How'd you like these colours this week? I LOVE them! Mind you, I'm totally in love with this year's In Colours and I'm SO happy they're around for two years instead of one. I wish these particular ones would become permanent. They really remind of past colours, actually.

Anyway, these colours are from this week's challenge over at Colour Q! I hope you like my card. It's for an upcoming summer "Any Occasions" card class on August 18th.

Feel free to contact me with any questions!

Have a fab day!!

Christmas?

Stamps: Tree Trimmings, Leaf Lines, Snow Swirled, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper: Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla
Ink: So Saffron, Cherry Cobbler, Wild Wasabi, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White
Accessories: White Embossing Powder, Dimensionals®, Corner Rounder, Decorative Label Punch, Neutrals Designer Buttons, Linen Thread, Early Espresso Satin Ribbon

Yes, it's a Christmas card! I've had this Tree Trimmings set ever since Sale a Bration but hadn't really used it. I didn't want to wait aaaaaaaaallll the way until the Christmas season so I pulled it out, put on some Christmas tunes (to my hubby's disgust) and played away! It's another non-winner that I had made for the artisan award contest ...

I think the card is pretty self explanatory, right? If not, shoot me an email via the contact link above! Hope you're having a great day!

Display Stamper - Raining Flowers

Stamps: Raining Flowers, Full of Life
Paper: Cherry Cobbler, Pink Pirouette, Whisper White, Crumb Cake
Ink: Regal Rose, Pink Pirouette, Chocolate Chip, Pear Pizzazz
Accessories: Basic Rhinestones, Dimensionals®, Striped Grosgrain

Good morning :) Here's a card I'd made for the display stamper thing a while back using the new set called Raining Flowers. It's hands-down my fav set in the new catty. What's your favorite?

Quick How-To: I started out by stamping the background piece of pirouette card stock with the large flower image and pirouette ink. I roughed up the edges a bit with a fingernail, added the crumb cake cardstock, and then the ribbon before adhering it to the cherry card base. The main image was stamped and then glued to the pink card mat and then added to the card base with dimensionals. Last, I added three rhinestones!

Hope you like this card! Thanks for visiting my blog :)

Display Stamper - Easy Events

Stamps: Easy Events, Extreme Elements, A to Z
Paper: Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Basic Black
Ink: Basic Black, Stazon™, Pool Party, Garden Green marker, Real Red marker
Accessories: Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, Neutrals Brads, Decorative Label Punch, Dimensionals®

Quick How-To:
  • Emboss the card base with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder and set aside.
  • Then, stamp the upper portion of the Whisper White card stock with the star image and the lower portion with the dotted image using Pool Party ink. Sponge the edges with Basic Black ink and glue to the Basic Black card stock mat.
  • On a narrow strip of white card stock, stamp the alphabet image using Stazon ink. Trim ends into a "v" using a square punch and then glue over the middle in an accordion style.
  • Stamp the floral image onto crumb cake card stock and then punch it out with the Decorative Label punch. Colour in with markers (stamp the flowers again on white card stock, colour, cut, and glue over the crumb cake flowers); sponge the edges and glue onto star/dotted piece.
  • Add a black brad on either side of the main image and then glue onto the embossed card base!
Hope you like this card! Thanks for visiting :)

Inkspirations Challenge #79

Stamps: Butterfly Prints, Baroque Motifs
Paper: Basic Black, Very Vanilla
Ink: Basic Black Craft ink, Melon Mambo, Stazon™
Accessories: Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder, Dimensionals®, Clear Embossing Folder, Shimmer Paint, Basic Rhinestones, Decorative Label Punch, Black Satin, Black Organdy (retired)

Can you see the shimmer on this one? I sprayed that background with my own handmade shimmer spray (alcohol and shimmer paint mixed together in a spray bottle)! The organdy was heated up until it crinkled ... carefully or it burns ...!

Please check out the challenge on the Inkspirations blog and see what the rest of the DT has come up with (links are also in my sidebar!).

Hope you enjoyed seeing my project today and are inspired to create :) Thanks for visiting!!

Create with Connie & Mary - 159

Stamps: Fabulous Florets, Short & Sweet
Paper: Marina Mist, Sahara Sand, First Edition DSP, Very Vanilla
Ink: Regal Rose, Sahara Sand
Accessories: Linen Thread, Designer Buttons

For some reason, these colours threw me ... they are gorgeous colours though! I like what I ended up with, though, don't you?

It's pretty simple, actually. I stamped the laf image on the patterned paper using Sahara Sand ink and then the flower was stamped separately on Vanilla card stock and cut out. Please check out the challenge on the Create with Connie and Mary blog!

On a more personal note, a few have asked how my mum is doing. So far, so good. She's completed her chemo and radiation treatments as well as one other intense radiation treatment (brachytherapy?). She's in extreme discomfort due to the breakdown of her skin in very sensitive areas. But, an MRI showed a 50% reduction in the tumors before she'd even completed all of her treatment. We praying that she will continue to heal both from the cancer and the effects of treatment. Thanks for all your prayers and thoughts!

Hope you like what I've shared with you today! Have a great day :)

Colour Q Challenge #94

Stamps: Make a Monster, Petite Pairs
Paper: Whisper White, Designer Paper Stack, Watercolour Paper, Tangerine Tango
Ink: Stazon™, Lucky Limeade, Rich Razzleberry
Accessories: Olive Twill (retired), Circle Brad, AquaPainter™, Dimensionals®

Wow, these colours are bright, eh? I didn't quite know what to do with these colours ... for one thing, I didn't have green galore anymore so I substituted Lucky Limeade! I have a child's birthday coming up soon so I figured monsters are always bright and cheerful, right?!

Please check out the challenge on the ColourQ blog and see what the Royal Court has come up with this week!

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I hope you've been inspired to create something new and inspired this week :)

Live with Passion

Stamps: Inspired by Nature
Paper: Cajun Craze, Whisper White
Ink: So Saffron, Always Artichoke, Chocolate Chip, Cajun Craze Marker, Chocolate Chip Marker, Versa Mark®
Accessories: Scallop Circle Bigz Die, Clear Circle Bigz Die, Dimensionals®, Clear Embossing Powder, Square Lattice Embossing Folder, Color Spritzer Tool, Mat Pack, Paper Piercer

I rarely make cards in a different shape but I really love the scallop circle die shape and how easy it is to make a card with a different shape (this is another non-winner that I had made for the artisan award contest)! Basically, I scored and folded a piece of card stock in half, laid it on the die with some of the scallops not cutting the fold to allow the card to remain one piece. I cut an extra single scallop circle to glue over top so that the fold wouldn't show. Also, I trimmed the bottom scallop in the back of the card so that it would stand straight and not roll ... :) In other stamping details, the top flower is heat embossed with clear embossing powder and cut out and the others were stamped and then dry embossed.

Hope you like this card! Thanks for looking!

Display Stamper - Raining Flowers

Stamps: Raining Flowers, Four Frames, Petite Pairs
Paper: Crumb Cake
Ink: Real Red, Whisper White, Not Quite Navy, Old Olive, Crumb Cake, Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Decorative Label Punch, Eyelet Border Punch, Vanilla Seam Binding, Dimensionals®

Another display stamper sampler! This time, I used another new set called "Raining Flowers". I'm short and sweet on deets, but it looks like it was made, easy peesy - but if you have questions, just let me know :)

Display Stamper - Best Friends Forever

Stamps: Best Friends Forever, Music Notes Wheel, Friendly Phrases
Paper: Whisper White, Subtles DSP Stack, Crumb Cake
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Crumb Cake
Accessories: Fleurettes, Designer Buttons, Eyelet Border Punch, Linen Thread, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, 1" Circle Punch, Basic Pearls

So many of you have asked me over the past couple of months how I got some of the new sets SO early! Well, I was honoured to be asked to be a display stamper for Stampin' Up!!! All of my projects were on display for the thousands of demonstrators that attended convention in early July. Unfortunately, I didn't go to convention, but perhaps next year. Well, I actually told my hubby I was gonna go, no matter what (unless someone dies of course ...). Now, I just gotta start saving!

Anyway, getting back on track, I received several stamp sets and had to make quite a few projects with each one. This first set that I worked with is called "Best Friends Forever". I found it a bit challenging to work with as a "main" set - I'd rather use it more backgroundish ... but hey, I'm always up for a challenge!

Hope you like how this card turned out! Thanks for stopping by my blog :) Have a great day!

Inkspirations Challenge #78

Stamps: Raining Flowers, A Word for You
Paper: Crumb Cake, First Edition DSP, Very Vanilla, Perfect Plum
Ink: Crumb Cake, Chocolate Chip, Perfect Plum, Rose Red
Accessories: Designer Buttons, Lattice Die, Circle Brad, Bird Punch

Good morning! I thought I'd try something different when I saw the Inkspirations colour challenge. I'd meant to do this for a while just never took the time :) You know those pre-cut cards that Stampin' Up! sells? Well, I thought I'd try making my own version using the dies I own. I though the lattice die worked perfectly!

Please check out the challenge on the Inkspirations blog and see what the rest of the DT has come up with (links are also in my sidebar!).

Hope you enjoyed seeing my project today and are inspired to create :) Thanks for visiting!!

Create with Connie & Mary - 158b

Stamps: Elements of Style
Paper: Pink Pirouette, Basic Black, Designer Paper Stack, Whisper White
Ink: Stazon™, various markers
Accessories: Scallop Circle Die #2, Circle Cutter, Basic Rhinestone, White Taffeta Ribbon

This is part two of the Create with Connie and Mary challenge! Last week, I shared with you the colour challenge and now this week I'm sharing the sketch! It's a square sketch, but you know me, I rarely do "odd" shape cards as they generally cost more postage ... you know, I really ought to think that one through though -- most of my cards cost more anyway and square wouldn't add to that cost ... LOL! Perhaps it's more that I don't like making them, eh?

I chose my fav colour combo at the moment - Pink, White, and Black. The main image was stamped using Stazon ink and then I simply coloured it in with my Stampin' Write markers! Easy Peesy :)

Please check out the challenge on the Create with Connie and Mary blog. Hope you like what I've shared with you today! Have a great day :)

Colour Q Challenge #93

Stamps: Flower Fancy, Word Play, Baroque Motifs
Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black, Marina Mist, Designer Paper Stack
Ink: Stazon™, Real Red, Peach Parfait, Pear Pizzazz, Marina Mist
Accessories: Designer Button, Scallop Square Die (non-SU), Dimensionals®

Good morning! I've gotten this one posted ahead of time because as you read this, I'm laying on a beach in Mexico!!! My in-laws came up to stay at our home with the kids for the week so that Paul and I could get away with friends for a week :) I've never been to Mexico so it's exciting to be able to go!! I'll share some pics when I get back. In the meantime, here's my ColourQ challenge!!!

I did add black to the colours even though it wasn't in the line up of colours but was in the inspiration photo. The flowers were stamped in stazon ink and then I used sponge daubers to add colour to all of them instead of using the background image.

Please check out the challenge on the ColourQ blog and see what the Royal Court has come up with this week!

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I hope you've been inspired to create something new and inspired this week :)

Butterfly Frame

Stamps: Fresh Cuts
Paper: So Saffron, Baja Breeze, Blushing Bride, First Edition DSP
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Baja Breeze, Blushing Bride, So Saffron
Accessories: Basic Rhinestones, Beautiful Wings Embosslit, Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die, Stampin’ Sponge, Dimensionals®

and here's yet another project I'd made (a non-winner that I had made for the artisan award contest). My girls' room has a butterfly theme so I thought it would be fun to include a paper crafted element to their room (yes, any excuse will do!). I had a canvas frame that I'd picked up locally in a package of three and this was the largest of the three sizes. It's a 10" square that I covered with a sheet of the First Edition DSP and wrapped around the edges to the back. Then, I die cut a ton of butterflies in three different colours, stamped the middle layer butterfly and then assembled them together. Glued them on, added the rhinestones, and voila, I was done :)

Hope you like this project and are inspired to create something pretty for your home :)
