Follow the Recipe #15

Stamps: Butterfly Prints, Four Frames, Elements of Style
Paper: So Saffron, Very Vanilla
Ink: Real Red, Stazon™, So Saffron
Accessories: Basic Rhinestones, Decorative Label Punch, Pear Seam Binding, Dimensionals®

This week, the Follow the Recipe challenge is based on a fun card by Crystal! To play with this week's challenge, here's this week's Follow the Recipe:

* Colors – red, yellow green (bring out those fun, bright summer colors)
* Stamps and Stickers – shrooms! (fungi, garden or just anything that grows in the ground)
* Patterns - hearts, polka dots
* Color Mediums – Prisma pencils
* Embellishments – buttons, bakers' twine
* Tools – digital stamps, dimensional adhesives
* Theme – love and friendship

As you can see, I chose to be inspired by the colours! I'd seen a fab card on the cover of the recent Paper Crafts magazine and was inspired to recreate it using these colours and Stampin' Up! products :)

Hope you like my card and are inspired to play in this week's Catered Crop challenge!!

Colour Q Challenge #91

Stamps: The Open Sea, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper: Night of Navy, Bravo Burgundy, Newsprint DSP, Nautical DSP, Whisper White
Ink: Night of Navy, Bravo Burgundy, Basic Grey, VersaMark
Accessories: Riding Hood Red Striped Grosgrain (retired), Neutrals Brads, Clear Embossing Powder, Corner Rounder, Anchor Button (non SU)

It's time for another Colour Q challenge! This one actually reminded me of the one we did a few weeks ago - the one with the tie as an inspiration photo? Soooooooo, I made another Father's Day card (this was a while ago!) using my fav masculine set at the moment called "The Open Sea" in the current Summer Mini.

My friend Jessie was over when I made this card and she had the coolest button that she'd found at an antique store with a bunch of other vintage buttons. It was perfect for this card! Now of course, it's not part of the coloru scheme, but I just HAD to use it!

Anywho, hope you like my card and are inspired to create something new! PLease check out the challenge on the ColourQ blog and see what the Royal Court has come up with. Thanks for visiting!

Inkspirations Challenge #75

It's time for another Inkspirations challenge! I was in the mood to do something bright and cheerful so I pulled out another new stamp set that I received from the upcoming Idea Book and Catalogue called "Raining Flowers". It's a super fab floral set that is a two step set. Love love love it! Pair it with this fun bright cheery combo and away you go :)

Please check out the sketch challenge on the Inkspirations blog and see what the DT has come up with using this sketch. We'd love to see what you can do with it too!

Thanks for stopping by :)

Accessories: AquaPainter™, White Embossing Powder, Fabric Brads, Linen Thread, Buttons, Pear Pizzazz Seam Binding, Dimensionals®, Eyelet Border Punch

This week, the Follow the Recipe challenge is based on this fun card by Hannah Clark! To play with this week's challenge, here's your FTR14 recipe:

Stamps and Stickers – nature, birds and birdy things
Color Mediums – Copic, craft aint
Embellishments – pearls, beads, stick pins, crocheted/lace ribbon, recycled cardboard (fun!)
Tools – paper piercer, sewing machine, distress tools, die cuts, digital stamps

This is my second card for this challenge! I really like how this one turned out too :) I used a whole bunch of new stuff from the next catty in the way of colour, though. There are three of the upcoming new In Colours featured on this card and I absolutely adore them together!

The background was stamped all over with the two outline images from the Fabulous Florets stamp set (in the current summer mini) using Whisper White ink and then I embossed them with white embossing powder. I love creating my own patterned paper!

The rest of the deets should be fairly self explanatory but feel free to contact me if you have any questions! Please check out the challenge :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Colour Q Challenge #90

Stamps: Word Play
Paper: Pacific Point, Whisper White, Subtles DSP Stack, Brights DSP Stack, Poppy Parade
Ink: Poppy Parade, Pacific Point
Accessories: Flower Punch, Neutrals Brads, White Organza Ribbon, Basic Rhinestones, Crystal Effects®

Very patriotic colour combination this week - for Americans, that is! The latest ColourQ challenge was fun to work with even though I rarely do the "red, white, and blue" theme! I had to substitute the Brilliant Blue for Pacific Point as I had none of that colour left anymore ...

I kept it fairly simple, actually. Just made a fun poofy flower with loads of punches from the one Flower punch that I have from Stampin' Up (my fav flower punch at the moment!). I think there are 7 layers? I covered the word "Big" from the sentiment using Crystal Effects. You can see that perhaps a little better in the next photo?

Anywho, I hope you enjoyed what I had to offer you today! Please check out the challenge on the ColourQ blog and see what the Royal Court is sharing! Thanks for stopping in :)

Inkspirations Challenge #74

Stamps: Fabulous Florets, Petite Pairs
Paper: Basic Grey, Basic Black, Brights DSP Stack, Whisper White
Ink: Old Olive, Melon Mambo, Stazon™, Basic Black
Accessories: Old Olive Satin, Green Felt (PTI)

Good morning! I absolutely LOVE how this card turned out! These colours from today's Inkspirations challenge just wowed me and so I had SO much fun playing with them!

The sentiment is from a new set coming to the new catalogue in July called "Petite Phrases". It's a really neat set that has two stamps for every saying - one that starts it and one that finishes the phrase. For example, in this card, the one stamp said "sending a kiss" and the second stamp finished the phrase by saying "to make it better". Fun , eh?

I hope you like my card and are inspired to try something interesting! Please check out the challenge on the Inkspirations blog and see what the DT came up with this week :)

Have a great day!

Paper: Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Subtles DSP Stack, Very Vanilla, Watercolour Paper

This week, the Follow the Recipe challenge is based on this fun card by Hannah Clark! To play with this week's challenge, here's your FTR14 recipe:

Loved the whole bird theme so that's what I went for in this challenge! I played with a set that was in a previous mini catalogue called "Nature's Walk". I LOVE this set ... :) Anywho, please check out the challenge! Can't wait to see what you come up with :)

Thanks for stoppin by!

Colour Q Challenge #89

This week's ColourQ challenge totally is about the guys, eh? I mean, look at that tie! Gorgeous tie but the colours are interesting to mix together on a card ... I'm in need of Father's Day cards so this challenge was perfect for me :)

I'm short on time and sleep so I'm keeping this short and sweet ... if you want/need more deets, just email me! Please check out the challenge on the ColourQ blog!

Inkspirations Challenge #73

Stamps: Butterfly Prints, Friendly Phrases
Paper: Pink Pirouette, Basic Black, Subtles DSP Stack, Very Vanilla
Ink: Regal Rose, Basic Black, Stazon™
Accessories: Black Grosgrain, Basic Rhinestones, Dimensionals®, Elegant Lines Embossing Folder, Stampin’ Sponges

Good morning! I've got a busy day ahead of me but I thought I'd pop in and show you my latest project for the Inkspirations challenge! I'm sure, well I know 'cause I've seen them, but I'm sure the DT will knock your socks off with their creations so you just gotta go check them out on the Inkspirations blog!

Anywho, I've gotta run ... birthday party this afternoon, followed by stamp club, and then I've got to get ready for the HUGE craft garage sale tomorrow!

I hope you have a great day! Thanks for stopping by!

Retirement Time!

I have a HUGE sale happening at my house on Saturday! I went through ALL of my cupboards, bins, drawers, boxes, etc ... and have a TON of stuff that needs a new home where it will be loved and cherished and most of all, used! There will be Big Shot dies and embossing folders, punches, LOTS of stamp sets, partial to full packages of a variety of Designer Series Papers, a variety of retired 12x12 solid colour card stock sheets (including a FULL pack of Mellow Moss!), ribbon, embellishments and more! Come on over and check it out!

If you want to come on over, send me an email or give me a call (number and email is on the pic above!).

Follow the Recipe #13 - revisited :)

Stamps: Pennant Parade, Full of Life
Paper: Island Indigo, Basic Black, Subtles DSP Stack
Ink: Lucky Limeade, Calypso Coral, Stazon™, Daffodil Delight
Accessories: Basic Rhinestones, Pennant Punch, Dimensionals®, 1 3/8" Circle Punch

Here's a second card I'd made, inspired once again by the "Follow the Recipe" challenge! This week, the recipe for you to follow is (using any the ingredients):

* Colors – red, white, blue, and yellow
* Stamps and Stickers – happy birthday, sailboats
* Color Mediums – stamp ink
* Embellishments – twine/hemp rope, buttons, pearls
* Tools – punches, border punches, distress tools, sewing machine, die cuts
* Techniques – make a square card, paper piecing, sewing, distressing
* Theme – summer, water, happy birthday

I was again inspired to use a sailboat as my theme but this time I used some NEW Stampin' Up! goodies that have arrived at my house! Demonstrator's got to see a selection of new products from the upcoming Idea Book & Catalogue at the beginning of June and we were able to preorder as well. On this card, if you read my supply list, you'll notice a bunch of new stuff - mainly new colours, a new stamp set, and a new punch! There's a really cool new punch called the Pennant punch and it punches out two shapes that layer. The punch also happens to match the stamp set I used, called Pennant Parade. Obviously, the way I used them wasn't very "pennanty", but I chose to think outside the box this time :)

Anywho, hope you like my card and are inspired to try something different! Have a fabulous day! Don't forget to check out the Follow the Recipe challenge -- time's up tomorrow!

Colour Q Challenge #88

Stamps: Petite Phrases, Happiness Shared, En Francais, Medallion
Paper: Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Neutrals DSP Stack, Very Vanilla
Ink: Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Cherry Cobble, Soft Suede
Accessories: AquaPainter™, Espresso Grosgrain, Dimensionals®

As I was going through my cupboards to see what was retired and what was not, I came across this stamp set (Happiness Shared) that I'd had for a long time and NEVER used! I cannot believe I had not used it ... I actually forgot I had it ... that's bad, eh? Shows how much of this stuff I have, hee hee!

I decided to pull it out for today's Colour Q challenge. These colours are FABULOUS! Love love love them together!

As for a few stamping deets, I stamped it out on Vanilla cardstock with Early Espresso ink and then varey carefully watercoloured it with Cherry Cobbler ink. Then, I stamped over it with the Medallion stamp (in the two corners), and then the En Francais stamp. Last, I stamped the sentiment from a new set in the new catalogue (more deets on how I got this one later!) called "Petite Phrases". LOVE this sentiment set and I'm sure many of you will too!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you liked my card today and are inspired to create something new and beautiful! Please check out the challenge on the Colour Q blog :)

P.S. Don't forget the retired lists - the accessories are selling out FAST!

Inkspirations Challenge #72

Stamps: Fabulous Florets
Paper: Pear Pizzazz, Not Quite Navy, Newsprint DSP, Peach Parfait, Whisper White
Ink: Peach Parfait, Pear Pizzazz
Accessories: Scallop Edge Punch, Dimensionals®, Olive Organdy (retired)

Good morning! These colours are rather interesting together, don't you think? I dunno if I'd have added the Not Quite Navy on my own, but I do like the effect. I'd seen the layout on another card (I'm sorry, I cannot remember where ...). It's pretty simple but if you have any questions about what's not obvious, feel free to shoot me an email!

Please check out the challenge on the Inkspirations blog and see what the DT have come up with for you this week!

Hope you liked my card and are inspired to create something new with this challenge!

Retirement Time!

The 2011 Stampin' Up! Retirement List has been released! What is the retired list? The retirement list is where Stampin' Up! clears out a TON of stamp sets and accessories to make room for new products! All accessories are only available while stock lasts and history tells me that they go FAST! So, please, if there is something you really want, don't wait too long, okay? I wouldn't want you to be disappointed ... Any stamp sets that you see on this list are going to be gone forever at the end of this month but are guaranteed to be available until then.

I see a few of my favorite stamp sets in there that I'm going to miss ... like Friends 24/7 and Great Friend ...

Have fun and happy shopping!

Had you noticed the newest badge displayed on my sidebar in the last week or two? Well, if you read via an online reader, you probably didn't see it ... BUT, I am SO excited to announce that I was asked to join the fabulous team over at Catered Crop for the "Follow the Recipe" challenge!

This is a really neat challenge - it focuses on casing incredible stampers that participate in the challenges, continuing the inspiration from person to person. This week, our inspiration comes to us from Jessica. The recipe for you to follow is (using any the ingredients):

* Colors – red, white, blue, and yellow
* Stamps and Stickers – happy birthday, sailboats
* Color Mediums – stamp ink
* Embellishments – twine/hemp rope, buttons, pearls
* Tools – punches, border punches, distress tools, sewing machine, die cuts
* Techniques – make a square card, paper piecing, sewing, distressing
* Theme – summer, water, happy birthday

I used a bunch of different elements as my inspiration - the sailboat, the colours, and the twine! It's another card for my mum :) Hopefully she's uplifted and inspired to stay strong.

Please check out the challenge on the Catered Crop blog. I'd love to see what you come up with :)
