Paper: Whisper White
Ink: Soft Suede, Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin Pie, Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry
Accessories: Early Espresso Satin, Elegant Lines Embossing Folder, Dimensionals®

Sometimes, I find it hard to believe how quickly a week flies. This past weekend, my hubster and I finally added some curb appeal to our home - it was in desperate need of appeal. Nice house, blah yard. Not anymore! here, check out my teeny little flower garden:

isn't it pretty? Of course, the shrubs are tiny but eventually, they'll grow - mid you, that may take forever since we have such a short growing season here. Oh well, it looks pretty and we're happy :)

Anywho, onto today's project! It's time for a new Colour Q challenge! These colours are absolutely beautiful together and I found that it didn't take me long at all to put something together. Now, some of you may not know, but my mum was recently diagnosed with cancer. and has begun her treatments recently (chemo and radiation). I want to send her a card each week to keep her spirits lifted high and so this card is made for her (she doesn't check my blog very often so I can share it, hee hee!). You'll likely see quite a few "thinking of you", "encouragement", etc cards over the next while!

Please check out the challenge on the Colour Q blog and see what the Royal Court has come up with. I'm sure they'll knock your socks off :)

Have a fabulous day!

oh, here's a shot of the card inside! When I know who the recipient is, I generally stamp the inside as well :)

Good morning! I've got a new project for you today thanks to the recent challenge from Inkspirations. I'd spent last weekend at my Mum and Dad's place with two of my sisters. We'd done TONS of gardening - my least fav thing to do but my Mum couldn't quite do it this year due to health reasons so we;re jumped in to help her! I swear though, I couldn't lift the shovel by the end of the last day ... ugh. Anyway, just threw this card together as my heart's just not in stamping at the moment ... hope you like it! Please check out the challenge on the Inkspirations blog and see what the DT made!

Good morning everyone! I'm back with a new Inkspirations challenge for you from Keesh! This week, it's a colour challenge and it is certainly an interesting one ... wow ... I would never have put this together (I think I say that a lot about a lot of challenges, don't I?).

Anywho, I played with a new set called Fabulous Florets that is in the current Summer mini catalog from Stampin' Up. Love these flowers! Of course, I love most flowers!

Hope you like my project and are inspired to try out the colour challenge! Please check it out on the Inkspirations blog and see what the rest of the team has come up with!

Have a great day :)

Colour Q Challenge #85

Good morning! It's time for a new Colour Q challenge ... this one was a bit of a doozy for me - I would never have put these colours together but they are certainly perfect for a masculine card! I've learned the with Arielle's challenges, the inspiration photo that comes with these colours is always worthwhile paying attention to since she finds these pics with such unusual colour combinations. I paired the colour combination with a sketch from Clean and Simple Stamping (I think it's an older one, I dunno).

Anywho, this was the second card we'd made at my stamp club last week! I hope you like it and are inspired to create something different and interesting! Please check out the challenge on the Colour Q blog and see what the Royal Court made to inspire you too!

"Sketches 4 Cards" Sneak Peek!

Did you know that I'm designing for a new team? 2 Sketches 2 Scrapbook had a DT call a while ago and I knew it fit well with my love of sketches as well as being a demonstrator for a fabulous company! Anam creates an app for the iPhone, iPod touch and the iPad both for scrapbooking or for card making! The sketches available in the app give you the opportunity to think creatively and on the go :)

Here's a sneak peek of one of the samples that I made for one of the sketches! The app hasn't been released yet, but I'll be sure to let you know when it is :)

Inkspirations Challenge #69

Good morning! Wow, glad Blogger has finally figured itself out ... jeepers, that was quite a long down time ... oh well, I'm back to posting anyway! Here's the latest Inkspirations challenge. It's a great sketch that was really fun to play with!

This is the other newest to me stamp set that I purchased from the new Summer Mini catalogue. It's called "The Open Sea" and is a perfectly masculine set that I know I'll get a ton of use out of! I'll be sharing this card with my stamp club members this evening when we meet for our monthly club!

Anywho, hope you like the card and are inspired to create something new and beautiful! Please check out the challenge on the Inkspirations blog and see what the rest of the DT came up with (links are in my sidebar!).

Hope you're having a good day!

Good morning! I missed last week's Colour Q due to many many people at our home over the Easter weekend but I'm getting back into the swing of things (laundry's done and the house is clean!). I haven't been able to focus much energy on stamping lately but I hope to be able to keep up with everything while we deal with life:)

Today's Colour Q challenge is a bright one and perfect for summer. Too bad it's not even remotely close to summer here yet but one can hope, eh?!

I had gotten a new die from Paper Trey Ink (first time I ordered there) after deciding that trying to hand-cut these banners is a pain. Soooooooo, I strung a banner across the center after cutting and stamping them.

Hope you like my card and are inspired to create something yourself! Please check out the challenge on the Colour Q blog to see what the Royal Court came up with for this challenge!

Thanks for stopping by :)

Colour Q Challenge #82

Stamps: Fifth Avenue Floral, Four Frames, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper: Baja Breeze, Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White
Ink: VersaMark™, Stazon™, Baja Breeze Marker, Artichoke Marker
Accessories: Stampin’ Pastels, Owl Punch, Decorative Label Punch, Dimensionals®, Old Olive Satin Ribbon, Corner Rounder

I missed last week's Colour Q challenge but I did make a card for it, just not on time ... but here it is! These colours are absolutely gorgeous together, don't you think? Even if the challenge is not current, the colours are certainly an inspiration to use again and again.

I held a class last Friday with the Fifth Avenue Floral set and this was one of the cards we'd made that night. I used the "Poppin' Pastels" technique to create the coloured flowers so that not all the cards were watercoloured, hee hee! Those that came to the class loved all the cards which is always encouraging to hear.

I also wanted to add that I've been awarded the Stylish Blogger Award from Julie! Thank you so much, Julie :) Also, Rita awarded me with the Versatile Blogger award! Thanks so much, Rita!

Anywho, thanks for poppin' in and I hope you come back to see the next Colour Q challenge tomorrow!
