Recent Awards :)

I have been remiss in posting the receipt of these awards over the past few weeks! There has been a flurry of award activity as well, so these really have added up. I am so thankful that those who have sent me these awards think that I am worthy of it :) Truly, honestly, thankful!

The Liebster blog is a new one to me and I was given it by Jeannie (Jeannie's Happy World).

Ink: Love Impressions DSP, Whisper White
Accessories: Striped Real Red Grosgrain, Jumbo Eyelets. Decorative Label Punch, Pinking Hearts Border Punch, Dimensionals®, Trio Punches

I was looking for something interesting to make when I saw the Creative Crew challenge to make something for the Holiday/Seasonal Focus challenge - to make something for a hostess gift, table centerpiece or settings, recipes, food, etc ... soooooooooo, I found this uber-cute little box pattern online that I thought was perfect for a gift! I can put a little bag of chocolates in there for my kids for Valentines, some stamps in there for a hostess, toiletries for a friend ... the possibilities are endless!

The original pail that I saw was created by Kitty Franken. I've put together a template and a brief how-to that you can find right HERE!

Thanks for looking :)

Inkspirations Challenge #59

Stamps: Lovely As A Tree, Three Little Words
Paper: Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Springtime Vintage, Watercolour Paper, Very Vanilla
Ink: Stazon™, Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, Always Artichoke
Accessories: Chocolate Grosgrain, AquaPainter™, Dimensionals®, Neutrals Designer Buttons, Linen Thread

The newest Inkspirations challenge is a fun sketch! It was interesting to work with ... I had to sit back for a while before tackling it and then of course, it's the last hour before the challenge has to be up before I get it finished! Busy week as usual so I need to get my behind in gear and get myself organised again :)

Anywho, like I said, fun sketch! I had this paper pack out on my desk (Springtime Vintage) and thought I'd use this piece of green patterned paper as my starting point. I haven't used the Lovely As A Tree stamp set in a while so I pulled it out too. The tree was stamped with Stazon and then watercoloured. I roughed up the edges with my fingernail and sponged it. Pretty simple, eh?

Please check out the challenge on the Inkspirations website to see what the rest of the team has come up with! Have a great day and thanks for stopping by :)

Creative Crew Challenges - Scrapbook Inspiration

Here's another Creative Crew sample that I'd made for February. It was for this challenge:

SB Inspiration Focus (keyword: CCREW0211SF)
Pull out your January Stampin’ Success mag – on page 30 is a card layout, turn that into an SB page, feel free to change the shapes it does not have to be circles, just mimic the layout.

So, basically, I followed the layout with using some of the MDS downloads available. The digital papers matched the paper pack from the Holiday mini which I absolutely LOVED! Now, I have it forever in digital :) I chose some of my fav pics from last Christmas and popped them into these circles.

Have you played in this challenge?

Thanks for stopping by!

Soooooo, onto this card! I was inspired by the most recent colour challenge for the Creative Crew to use these colours: Daffodil Delight, Cherry Cobbler, and Early Espresso. An interesting colour combo! I really really really wanted to add green for some reason :)

The little girl's dress is paper pieced and one corner is lifted with a dimensional. The crinoline and heart both have iridescent ice embossing powder on it.

When I was working on my class projects, I combined them with current challenges to sort of get two jobs done at once! The Colour Q challenge was another doozy :) I pulled out my new owl punch, though! I finally caved and got this punch and this is the first card I've made with it. Cute, eh?

Thinking of you ...

Stamps: En Francais, Medallion, Baroque Motifs, Three Little Words
Paper: Soft Suede, Very Vanilla, Elegant Soiree Designer Series Paper (DSP)
Ink: Early Espresso, Soft Suede, Versa Mark®, Pretty in Pink
Accessories: Clear Embossing Powder, Subtles Designer Buttons, Brayer, Color Spritzer Tool, Twine, Dimensionals®

Wow, I'm actually posting in between Tuesday and Friday!!! I held a class last Friday evening and this was one of the four designs that the class attendees were able to make. It is one of those "wow" cards that everyone just loved. The majority of the larger paper is actually Vanilla card stock! The brown script background was vanilla before stamping and brayering as was the medallion.

My inspiration came from the latest Tuesday Trigger photo -- those colours and the vintage mantel piece above just called my name! You know me, if I can distress it, sponge it, and grunge it, I'm a happy girl :)

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope the rest of your weekend is a great one!

Inkspirations Challenge #58

Stamps: Vintage Vogue, Bliss
Paper: Marina Mist, Early Espresso, Whisper White
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Tangerine Tango, Marina Mist
Accessories: Neutrals Designer Buttons, Twine, Dimensionals®, Manhattan Flower Embossing Folder, Bird Punch, Marina Mist 5/8” Grosgrain, Basic Rhinestone, Sticky Strip

Good morning! Welcome to another colour challenge from Inkspirations! these colours were very challenging for me -- the orange totally threw me ... but this is what I came up with and I'm actually rather like these colours together!

I have a class this evening and this will be one of the four designs that each attendee will be making :) Please check out the challenge on the Inkspirations blog and see what the rest of the DT came up with!

Have a great day!

Colour Q Challenge #72

Stamps: Bella Toile, Easter Blossoms, Thoughts & Prayers
Paper: Crumb Cake, Not Quite Navy, Baja Breeze, Whisper White
Ink: Not Quite Navy, Tangerine Tango Marker, Cherry Cobbler Marker, Crumb Cake Marker, Versa Marker®
Accessories: Dimensionals®, Scallop Trim Punch, Baja Breeze Seam Binding

Wow ... another tough challenge! Combining the cherry and tangerine would be simple, or even combining the baja and not quite navy would be simple! But no, we get all four!! Hee hee! Kidding, I LOVE a great challenge and Arielle certainly finds us those, eh?! These colours look absolutely gorgeous together on that sweater and I strove to create something reminiscent of the sweater by using the Bella Toile background image on the Baja Breeze card stock. I coloured in the stems using a Versa Marker for added texture and interest.

Hope you like my card! Please check out the Royal Court's creations on the Colour Q blog or by clicking their link sin my sidebar :)

Have a fabulous day!

Inkspirations Colour Challenge #57

Stamps: Nature Walk, Short & Sweet, In Stitches Jumbo Wheel
Paper: Not Quite Navy, Early Espresso, Botanical Gazette DSP, Watercolour Paper
Ink: Early Espresso, Old Olive, Not Quite Navy
Accessories: Corner Rounder, Dimensionals®, Chocolate Chip Taffeta, Espresso 1/8" Grosgrain, Espresso Satin, AquaPainter™

Good morning! (or at least it is here!) Keesh has got another fabulous sketch cooked up for us this week. I ended up changing the oval to a rectangle and played with some new paper. LOVE this new paper! I don't care for all the sides of it, but when I see a paper pack that I love at least one side of each, it's definitely a keeper :)

Anywho, the main image was inked up with markers, stamped on the watercolour paper, and then I filled it in with an AquaPainter. Pretty simple. I sponged everything with my nicely cut sponge -- my son, Tias, found my scissors and cut the sponge with all sorts of fabulous grooves ... can you hear the sarcasm?! I was wondering what was wrong with the sponge and thought that perhaps it was a "done" one (meaning, I needed to cut a new brown wedge!) but alas, it was in decent shape until the scissors came near ...

I'm tired so I'm blathering, sorry! Please check out the challenge on the Inkspirations blog and see what the rest of the DT has created with this great sketch! I'd love to see what you make with it!!!

Thanks for visiting, have a great day!!

thinking of you

This is a card my stamp club members will be making on Friday for our next club meeting! I used a challenge from Moxie Fab as the inspiration for the card - to use a silhouette. The Easter Blossoms stamp set is the only silhouette type image that I have so that's what I used!

Hope you like my card! See you tomorrow for the Inkspirations challenge :)

Colour Q #71

Stamps: Finest Flourish, Bliss (SAB), Flower Fancy
Paper: Crumb Cake, Blushing Bride, Love Patterns, Watercolour Paper, Confetti White
Ink: Stazon™, Crumb Cake, Pretty in Pink, Pink Pirouette, Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Eyelet Border Punch, Crumb Cake Seam Binding, Little Leaves Sizzlit, Neutrals Designer Buttons, Basic Pearls, Linen Thread

Good morning! Welcome to another Colour Q challenge card! I got a few new goodies in the house so I played with them with this challenge. I had gotten the single stamp called Finest Flourish and used it as the background on the Crumb Cake card base with Crumb Cake ink and I also stamped it on the leaves after they were die cut. Pretty simple layout, I'm a little out of my stamping groove as I've been working more on figuring out my monthly meal plan than I have been stamping!

Anywho, any questions, feel free to contact me and I'll try to answer them as best as I can. Please check out the Royal Court's creations on the Colour Q blog!

have a great day :)

Inkspirations Challenge #56

Ink: Baja Breeze, Basic Black, Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler
Accessories: Basic Black Grosgrain, Scallop Punch, 1-3/8" & 1-1/4" Circle Punches, Dimensionals®

The Inkspirations colour challenge was a pretty fun and easy one for me. Heck, anything with Baja Breeze is awesome! But, limited time equals a Clean & Simple card for me this week. I love how it turned out and I love that I was able to play with a few new-to-me stamps! I just got Bella Toile after seeing so many beautiful idea's floating around and well, with Sale-a-Bration, it's not too hard to spend $60 to get the free stuff, eh? hence, the new Punch Bunch set :)

Please check out the challenge on the Inkspirations blog and see what the DT has cooked up for you this week!

Thanks for stopping by and putting up with my sporadic blogging :( ... You're always guaranteed to see something on Tuesdays and Friday's though!!!! Have a great day!

Colour Q #70

Stamps: Crazy for Cupcakes, Short & Sweet, Dot Dot Dot
Paper: Blushing Bride, Early Espresso, Regal Rose, Whisper White, Play Date DSP
Ink: Early Espresso Marker, Blushing Bride Marker, Poppy Parade Marker, Regal Rose, Stazon™, Versa Mark
Accessories: Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder, Dimensionals®, Scallop Edge Punch, Chocolate Taffeta

Good morning! Sorry about the lack of posts lately. Like I'd said before, a nasty flu is going around (and around) our home, leaving me with little to no time to stamp. I've been doing major laundry and caring of little ones - as I ought, eh?!

I managed to squeak some time in the wee hours of the night to create some projects both for Colour Q and the newest Creative Crew challenges! I'll post the new Creative Crew challenges later, but this particular card was perfect for both Arielle's colour challenge and the one CC challenge called "Holiday/Seasonal Focus - to use food/drink stamps". With this inspiration photo being cupcakes, I couldn't resist the cupcakes! I started out with creating my own DP - stamping those little cupcakes from the Short and Sweet stamp set and then colouring them in with markers. Delightfully simple :)

Please check out the challenge on the Colour Q blog and see what the Royal Court has cooked up for you to see! Hope your day is going well :)
