The newest Inkspirations challenge is a fun sketch! It was interesting to work with ... I had to sit back for a while before tackling it and then of course, it's the last hour before the challenge has to be up before I get it finished! Busy week as usual so I need to get my behind in gear and get myself organised again :)Anywho, like I said, fun sketch! I had this paper pack out on my desk (Springtime Vintage) and thought I'd use this piece of green patterned paper as my starting point. I haven't used the Lovely As A Tree stamp set in a while so I pulled it out too. The tree was stamped with Stazon and then watercoloured. I roughed up the edges with my fingernail and sponged it. Pretty simple, eh?
Please check out the challenge on the Inkspirations website to see what the rest of the team has come up with! Have a great day and thanks for stopping by :)

I like your take on the sketch and how you went over your image with the last stripe to create your sentiment block. Very nice!

I can't believe I don't own that set yet! Just love how you coloured the tree and used the sentiment banner as one of the horizontal strips. Gorgeous touch of sponging too. Great card as always.
Love this card! Lovely as a Tree is one of my most used sets!
I left you an award on my blog, feel free to pick it up or no biggie if you don't have time (boy are they time consuming!)

I always forget about this set and then you use it and I remember. All of you Lovely as a Tree cards are fantastic - you've really got a handle on that set! Great job!

Absolutely beautiful Renee! Your cards have such depth & character, & are always such an inspiration. Love the aged look the sponging & distressing gives & the clever twist with the sentiment strip. :)
Beautiful card & nice take on the sketch. One of my fav sets, and I have not used it in a while either.
