Before I get into some deets about today's card, I wanted to answer a question that I'd been asked but unfortunately was unable to email back! Trisha Hoffman had asked:
and now, onto today's card!
I'd worked on this one when trying to pull myself out of stamping-malaise ... I tried a different way of scrunching up the ribbon and discovered that it was too time consuming (at least for this type of ribbon). Basically, you cut into the center of one edge of the ribbon, pull a centre thread and keep pulling until you get the desired scrunchiness (yes, I know that's not a word). Anyway, it took way longer than using sticky strip and folding the ribbon back and forth in an accordion!
Renée, in the background of your photo of your layout to take photos for posting online, U have a rack with ribbon on it. First, where did U get this rack and#2 how did you find one that had a dowel that is small enough to fit thru SU ribbon spools? The ribbon rack was made for me by my husband as per my request! I'd found 1/4"metal rods at the hardware store that fit inside the spools and he cut it down to 12" lengths to fit inside. The reason I chose metal is because even though ribbon doesn't seem heavy, wood still tends to sag and I don't like that ... :). Hope that helps!
