For you ...

Stamps: Greeting Card Kits, A Word for You, Apple Blossom
Paper: Crumb Cake, Old Olive, Greenhouse Gala DSP, Very Vanilla, Play Date DSP
Ink: Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Old Olive, So Saffron, Stazon™
Accessories: Crochet Trim, Dimensionals®, Scallop Edge Punch, Crystal Effects®

Hi all :) I've been listening to a new album by a group called Monk & Neagle ... fabulous songs -- so mellow! Perfect for stamping. One song caught my attention to the album (Hallelujah Jesus) and then the rest are right up there! I LOVE the song called "What Soldiers Do" -- absolutely beautiful song from a soldier to his family. I bought the album through iTunes, not sure where else it's available.

Anyway, you didn't come here to read about that, eh? Can you believe it's the last day of September? I cannot believe how FAST this month has flown!

So, card deets ... I wanted to play with the latest 2 Sketches 4 You sketch and that wonky side edge was giving me grief ... but, I persisted and hope this works?! I stamped the leaf stem image in both olive and saffron (stamped off once) alternately. The little girl has been paper pieced and covered in crystal effects. Soooooo, if there are any details that you would like to know, just let me know!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you've enjoyed seeing today's card!

P.S. Linda A.-- I did get your email yesterday and I emailed you right back! Please let me know if you've received it :)

You're Fabulous!

Stamps: Fast & Fabulous, Absolutely Fabulous, Music Notes Jumbo Wheel
Paper: Stazon™, Chocolate Chip, Regal Rose, Melon Mambo, Old Olive, Crumb Cake
Ink: Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Playdate DSP, Watercolour Paper
Accessories: Chocolate Grosgrain, Neutrals Brads, Dimensionals®

I just got this stamp set the other day and thought I'd play with it! I'd seen the sketch challenge from SplitCoast and since it'd been a while since I played in their challenges, I really felt like playing again! So, that's where the layout comes form. I did flip it to one side.

This set is actually a two-step stamp set but I only used the outline part so I could watercolour the image. After the flowers were stamped, I rolled the Music Notes wheel across them -- rolled off once first! one thing to remember with the music notes wheel -- be sure to know which is the right way up. If you don't read music, well, I suggest you look at your catalogue which should show you the right way! One hint -- the accents should be above the music staves, not below :) I even read music but I still rolled it upside down ... not on this card, but on another!

Anywho, hope you like my card today! Have a great day!

Colour Q Challenge #52

Stamps: Autumn Splendor, Music Notes Standard Wheel
Paper: Very Vanilla, Basic Black, Crumb Cake/Kraft, Whisper White, Cajun Craze
Ink: Stazon™, Crumb Cake, Kiwi Kiss, Old Olive, Basic Black
Accessories: Circle die, Square Lattice Embossing Folder, Dimensionals®, Crystal Effects, 1/4" Circle Punch

Good morning! Arielle's got an interesting challenge in store for YOU today! She's come up with this awesome sketch for you to pair up with your favorite past Colour Q challenge! I chose to work with CQ Challenge #32 as I really loved those colours together. Now, I don't have any Groovy Guava in the house so I substituted Cajun Craze for it :)

I had just gotten this stamp set so of course, it must be inked up! I held a masculine cards class last week and this was one of the three designs the class attendees made.

The sketch had called for three dots on the top there and the brads I had enough of were just not big enough for my design. Nothing looked right until I thought about punching paper! So, I punched out three Basic Black circles, popped a glue dot on the back of each and put them on the card. Then, I put a drop of Crystal Effects on each one! Instant brads!

Anywho, hope you like my card this week! Have a great day!

Good morning! I've got another card for you today. I was actually able to stamp a little this weekend :) I played with this week's sketch challenge over at Just Add Ink and a new-to-me stamp set called Autumn Splendour. LOVE these leaves and I can't quite figure out why I hadn't bought this set earlier! I also paired this challenge with a new challenge blog called SUO Challenges. This is their second challenge (somehow missed completing the first which was creating something fall-ish). The challenge was to use the Big Shot! Well, I pretty much use the Big Shot with everything I make :)

This card will be made at an upcoming class that I've got scheduled (for the 6th, contact me to sign up!) so I hope everyone will enjoy making this one!

Hope you're having a great day :) Thanks for visiting!

Noel

This card's layout was inspired by Carrie Gaskin. A while ago, she had made a really cute card using this same layout and so I saved it for future use! And here it is!! I used a totally different theme for this card, keeping it all about Christmas as this is another from my recent Christmas Cards class. It's pretty masculine, eh?

Thanks for visiting my blog today! Hope you're having a great day!

Ink: Stazon™, Chocolate Chip, various for colouring
Accessories: Circle die, Scallop Edge Punch, Soft Suede Grosgrain, Dimensionals®, AquaPainter™, Vintage Brads, Mat Pack & Piercer

This week, Kirsty is hosting the challenge and she's added a fun twist of watercolouring to this week's sketch! Now, I watercolour a lot and I LOVE it. perhaps you do too?

Anywho, this is a card I'll be sharing tonight at my "All About the Guys" class! It's got a truck, a little ribbon, lots of texture, what more can a guy want, eh? I flipped the sketch sideways and made it a regular sized card (4.25 x 5.5) for easy mailing and envelope finding!

I'd mentioned in a previous Inkspirations post that some lucky commenter would receive a class kit! I loved all the feedback I received about what YOU think makes a great masculine card. Thanks! So, now that the cards have been made, I can finally announce a winner, LOL!! and that winner is, dum-de-da-dum!:

Wendy! Please send me your mailing address so I can get this sent off to you as soon as possible! There's a contact me link on the top of my blog :)

Hope you're all having a fabulous day! Don't forget to play in this week's Inkspirations challenge for your chance to be next week's guest designer!

Season's Greetings

ah yes, it's another Christmas card! LOL :) This one is soooooooooooo simple but so pretty, don't you think? I was inspired by a card that Heather Nichols had made. I love how she uses white and kraft together. So delicious! This was at my most recent Christmas Cards class and it was nice to have at least one "simple" one to make!

I hope you like the card! Have yourself a great day!

Merry Christmas!

Good morning everyone! I'm trying to get back into my regular blogging schedule after this crazy summer so I thought I'd share a few Christmas cards from a recent class! I've already held my second of three Christmas Cards classes and this is one of the designs. I felt like playing with red when I was designing this one. I was originally going to use a different paper but it didn't quite work out and this is how the card ended up! Isn't it cute?! I'm not sure if you can tell, but there's a little bit of Dazzling Diamonds on the girl (her scarf and trim).

Anywho, hope you like it! Have a great day!

Colour Q Challenge #51

Stamps: Flower Fancy, Heard from the Heart
Paper: Whisper White, PlayDate DSP
Ink: Tuxedo Black (Memento), Chocolate Chip (Classic & Craft)
Accessories: Copic markers, Whisper White Satin, Clear Embossing Powder, Red beads, Dimensionals®

This inspiration pic is fabulous! The colour combo really jumps out at you, don't you think? You can check out the challenge over on the Colour Q blog to see what the Royal Court came up with and enter your card!

I was trying to make some "bendable" flowers and sort of did a cracked glass technique (lots of layers of clear embossing). The flowers turned out kind of neat, eh?

Anywho, hope you're having a great day!

Inkspirations Challenge #40

Stamps: Elements of Style, Teeny Tiny Wishes, En Francais
Paper: Whisper White, Basic Grey, Watercolour Paper
Ink: Stazon™, Basic Grey, Rose Red
Accessories: Saffron Grosgrain, Dimensionals®, AquaPainter®, Versa Marker®, Clear Embossing Powder

I felt like playing with the Elements of Style stamp set this week. The layout is pretty simple and striking. It's a sympathy card as well which we have unfortunate need to use ... but it fits with this week's Just Add Ink challenge.

The flowers were watercoloured and then I used a Versa Marker to be able to clear emboss them. I didn't feel like creating a mask for these flowers -- that's a bit finicky! But, I didn't want the words to cover the flowers so this worked.

Anywho, hope you're having a great day :) Please check out the challenge and see what the rest of the Inkspirations team came up with! Their links are in my blog sidebar!!

Aren't these colours delicious together?! LOVE them! I used a profligate amount of ribbon on this card ... and I LOVE it too! hee hee :) Not much to say about the card, it's pretty simple. Please check out the challenge on the Colour Q blog and see what the Royal Court has come up with!

Hope you're having a great day!

Scrappy Sunday!

I almost never share the scrapbook pages we make at my monthly club but here's one of them! I had made a video showing the Shadow Stamping technique that I'd used on THIS card. I've had numerous people asking how the technique is done :)

Anywho, hope you like this page! I'd love to challenge you to use this sketch. Just come back here and let me know that you've used it so I can see your page!

Have a great day! Here's the video:
