As you can see, I rotated this week's sketch from Keesh when I created my card! Chantelle is hosting this week's challenge and has added a twist of polka dots. So, when you create your challenge card, think about adding polka dots to your project :) and link it up on her blog!

I was in the mood to play with blues and yellows so that's where the colours came from -- sort of a last ditch effort of summer colours before fall hits ... and it's coming ... I don't like fall. I love winter but not fall - too much mud and rain ... :)

I've made a video for this card so I hope you enjoy watching it and are able to pick up some different tricks and tips! It's really fun being able to create these although I feel a little odd talking to myself as I film it, LOL!

I had asked a few friends for some tips and insight into my last video and they recommended a few things to include! Here's one of them, the cutting measurements for the layers on this card :) I was going to include them in the video but I decided instead to include them right here in the post:

Bashful Blue4¼" x 11" -- scored @ 5½"
Very Vanilla3¾" +1/16" x 5" +1/16"

two 5" x ½" strips for scalloped edges

scrap for sentiment
Marina Mist3¾" x 5"
Play Date DSP1 ½" x 5"
Elegant Soirée DSP3¼” x 3¼”
Watercolour Paper2½” x 3”
Seam Binding Ribbon25”
Very Vanilla Grosgrain3”
Neutrals Brads2

Please check out the rest of the Inkspirations team, I'm sure they'll wow you! (links are in my sidebar). Link up your challenge on Chantelle's blog this week and don't forget to think about adding polka dots as this week's twist!

What a GREAT card! I love how you used the "damask" (not sure if that's what it's called?!) from Friends 24-7 for the lovely background. I love how you showed us how you tie the ribbon too. It's those details that people really like to see - and how you "play with" your bow - that's something I've learned to get a LITTLE better at by practicing. And what a GREAT tip about using the round tab punch for a GREAT place and shaped sentiment! I never would've come up with that on my own! So I really appreciate that! I'm looking forward to more and cards and more videos from you!

Renee, I am over the moon in love with this card! You really do have such a wonderful eye for creating such artistic treasures. I've always noticed your smaller (thinner) mat size that you use on your cards, and while I doubt I would have thought to try that myself, I am trying it more now, and am loving the results. THANK YOU! I've also been enjoying all of your videos (keep 'em coming please), and am just now trying to play catch up here by leaving comments on your blog posts!! : ) Another avid fan of yours.. ~Barbara~ (EmptyNestMom on SCS)
