I've finally succumbed to the craze of making "Snowman Soup" ... :) It's actually a really neat idea and I think it makes a great gift. I picked up some hot chocolate and those After Eight mint sticks that are individually packaged as well as some marshmallows. Super easy to make these. I think I made 6 in less than a 1/2 hour -- I really really tried to keep the overall design quick and simple. I didn't feel like taking a ton of time on them for some reason. It took me longer to figure out which font I wanted to use for the poem! Here's the poem so if you want to make some you can just cut and paste!
So, you’ve been real good this year
Always glad to hear it
With freezing weather drawing near
You’ll need to warm the spirit...
So here’s a little Snowman Soup
Complete with stirring stick
Add hot water, sip it slow
It’s sure to do the trick!
The font I ended up using was a couple I'd found online, can't remember where 'cause I pick them up wherever .. but the main font is called "Pea Bandit" and the "Snowman Soup" words are in "Elegance" font.
Basically, to make the packaging, I used a Top Note die that I scored lengthwise in half. I stamped the front with a snowflake from the new hostess level 2 set called "Snow Buddies". The snowman is from the "Holiday Lineup" stamp set and I coloured him in with alcohol based markers and punched out with the 1-1/4" circle punch.
Anyways, hope you like it! Thanks for visiting!!! I appreciate your comments and visits so very much!
